So where have you been, girl?
It’s been a while, almost 9 months to be exact. I know, I know… awkward, but maybe a little awkwardness is good—it means we’re human.
So, where have I been?
I got pregnant, delivered said baby in a beautiful home birth, and officially did the thing.
Yep, I’m now a mom of two under two. And let me tell you, just when I thought I had nailed a productive routine with my daughter, life decided to shake things up.
Adding a new bundle of joy into the mix flipped my world upside down in the best way possible.
If there’s one thing this journey has taught me, it’s this: there’s never a “perfect time” to do anything.
- There will always be distractions.
- There will always be excuses.
- There will never be enough time.
- And the stars? They’re not lining up perfectly anytime soon (do they ever?)
So, we’re left with two choices: adjust and push through or let life’s challenges keep us stuck.
I chose to adjust and push through gracefully (well, as gracefully as two hours of sleep and a crying baby allows). I leaned on all the productivity hacks I know, squeezed every ounce of potential from those tiny pockets of time, and reminded myself that progress is progress no matter how small.
And guess what? It worked.
If you’ve been around long enough, you might remember me talking about my dream to create something meaningful to support new creators in their journey. I wanted to build it out in public, share the process, iterate as I went...
But life (as it does) had other plans, so I put my head down and got it done in the dark one baby nap at a time.
Now, I’m thrilled (and a little nervous) to share that I’m preparing to launch my coaching program! It’s not perfect (yet), but it’s real. And the best part? I kept going despite everything life threw my way.
And so can you.
Here’s the thing: we have just under 30 days left in 2024.
What will you do with them?
If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or like the year slipped through your fingers - don’t worry. It’s not too late to make the last month count.
Here are 3 tips to finish the year strong and head into 2025 with intention:
1. Pick One Goal
Don’t try to tackle everything. Focus on one thing that will make the biggest impact. Whether it’s finishing that project, clearing out the clutter, or finally mapping out what you’ve been putting off. Keep it simple and manageable.
2. Time-Block Like a Pro
Use your calendar as your ally. Block out specific times for focused work, family, rest, and fun. Honor those blocks like appointments you can’t miss—because your time deserves that respect (unless you have a newborn who does NOT care, like I do 😭).
3. Reflect and Reset
Take some time to look back at the wins (big or small) from this year. Celebrate them, learn from the challenges, and set a clear intention for how you want to start 2025.
Remember, it’s not about perfection. It’s about progress.
Let’s finish this year strong together.
I’ll be cheering you on!🥂
Weekly Reflection
The question I am asking myself this week ❓
Are my current habits aligned with who I want to become?
This week's quote that made me think 💬
“Inaction breeds doubt and fear. Action breeds confidence and courage. If you want to conquer the negative elements in your life, don't sit at home and think about it. Go out and get busy!” - Dale Carnegie
Jenn's Monthly Book Club 📚
This is a new segment that I am adding to the newsletter. I have always loved reading and get so much knowledge from books.
This month, I am reading 5 Second Rule by Mel Robbins. We know a lot, but our biggest issue comes down to EXECUTION. Are you doing what you should be doing? Well this book breaks it all down in terms of how our brain is designed to prevent us from doing hard things. Once you know this, then you can hack your body and push yourself to take action. A powerful read - I highly recommend.
Stay encouraged!
