Reflecting on Loss and Purpose
Happy Sunday!
This week has been a tough one for me. I recently lost my second mom, who had been sick for some time.
While it’s a relief to know she’s no longer in pain, it’s heartbreaking to realize I’ll never see her again.
To add to this sadness, my father passed away on the same date 15 years ago, so my emotions have been all over the place.
Losing loved ones always makes me think about how we sometimes take life for granted.
Our mortality feels a lot more real, especially since I became a mom. More than ever, I’m reminded that we don’t have as much time as we think we do.
That’s why it’s so important to focus on what truly matters to our hearts and to take those baby steps to pursue our dreams. If not now, then when??
I don't want to sound morbid but... we truly don't know how long we have left so we might as well make the most of our time here.
I want to help even more and continue to have an impact in the world.
If you are a content creator and looking for some guidance this year, I am hosting a FREE Q&A Session on January 29th at 7pm EST. This is an opportunity for you to come and ask me ANY questions around content creation, and the business behind it.

That said, here are to tips to finally start the "thing" this year:
3x3: Three Tips for Trying Something New
- Start with Curiosity
Instead of pressuring yourself to be “great,” approach new ventures like a curious beginner. Ask yourself, “What’s the simplest first step I can take?” Whether it’s signing up for a class or watching a tutorial, just begin.
- 2. Celebrate The Small Wins
Break down your new skill or project into bite-sized milestones. Each mini-achievement adds up and helps you stay motivated. Don’t overcomplicate. If you want to learn guitar, start by practicing one simple chord. If you’re thinking about writing a book, start with a single paragraph. Tiny steps keep you moving without burning out.
- Tell a Friend (or Two)
Share your goals with trusted friends. It’s amazing how sharing your dreams can make you feel more committed. And it’s way more fun to celebrate milestones together and keep each other accountable.

REMINDER: Elevate & Align: A Productivity + Purpose Workshop
On that note, I’d love for you to join me on January 31 at 6 PM EST for a relaxed goal-setting workshop.
We’ll spend about an hour talking goals, sharing ideas, and supporting each other’s progress.
Nothing fancy, just a friendly space to show up, brainstorm, and stay accountable.

January New Book
We’re reading What Got You Here Won’t Get You There by Marshall Goldsmith this month.
I’m finding that it really highlights how we grow (or sometimes stay stuck) due to habits we’ve picked up along the way.
It’s a good reminder to keep evolving, especially when life’s fragile moments nudge us to appreciate the present.

Let’s make 2025 the year we finally follow through on what matters most.
Weekly Reflection
The question I am asking myself this week âť“
How can I honor the memory of those I’ve lost by living more fully today?
This week's quote that made me think đź’¬
“In the midst of winter, I found there was, within me, an invincible summer.” – Albert Camus
