Make a decision!
As I wrap up my work week—kind of (because let’s face it, the work never truly ends)—I’ve been reflecting on how I ended up here.
Not in a bad way, but in a grateful way. At some point in all our lives, there’s that decision. Some of you may have already made it; others are still facing it, unsure if you’re ready to commit. It could be:
- The decision to change
- The decision to be better
- The decision to help
- The decision to learn
- The decision to try
Throughout our lives we’re confronted with these big decisions; turning points that shape who we become.
I remember my first big one. I was in university when my father passed away, forcing me to choose between staying in school and leaving to find a job. I felt like a failure, especially while wrestling with the grief I was trying so hard to push down.
I spent countless nights agonizing over what to do. I didn’t want to be judged. I didn’t want others to see me as a failure. More than anything, I wanted to finish school and make my parents proud.
But I decided to pause my university studies and take on two jobs.
I reminded myself that this sacrifice, as painful as it felt at the time, was an investment in my future.
It wasn’t easy and sometimes it barely felt worth it, but ultimately it was.
Then, two years ago, I made another big decision—I walked away from my corporate job.
At the time, it felt like stepping off a cliff into the unknown. I was so unsure, so insecure.
But looking back, I realize it taught me something life-changing: I’m more resilient than I ever imagined. I learned that fear doesn’t have to dictate my actions—I can feel it, acknowledge it, and still move forward.
I can pivot confidently, even when I’m charting new territory. I can take risks and come out stronger on the other side.
Realizing this made me feel empowered, capable, and deeply grateful for every twist and turn that led me here.
And now, I’m giving myself permission to step into the role of a coach. It’s a big decision, but I can already feel the motivation and reward that comes from leaning into what I’m meant to do.
So, what about you?
What big decision do you need to make today—or as you plan for the new year?
On the other side of fear isn’t what we imagine.
Instead, there’s confidence, fulfillment, and pride waiting for you.
Make the decision today to change your life, whatever that looks like and I'll be cheering you on, of course!
Here are 3 tips to finally take action:
1. Start with one step
Don’t let the big picture overwhelm you. Focus on the first small move you can make right now.
2. Build a support system
Surround yourself with people who believe in your goals. Share your decision and ask for encouragement.
3. Celebrate your progress
Acknowledge every step forward, no matter how small. Progress feeds motivation and keeps you moving forward.
Remember, it’s not about perfection. It’s about progress.
Let’s finish this year strong together.

Weekly Reflection
The question I am asking myself this week ❓
What is the smallest action I can take right now to move closer to the outcome I want?
This week's quote that made me think 💬
“Courage is resistance to fear, mastery of fear—not absence of fear.” – Mark Twain
Jenn's Monthly Book Club 📚
This is a new segment that I am adding to the newsletter. I have always loved reading and get so much knowledge from books.
This month, I am reading 5 Second Rule by Mel Robbins. We know a lot, but our biggest issue comes down to EXECUTION. Are you doing what you should be doing? Well this book breaks it all down in terms of how our brain is designed to prevent us from doing hard things. Once you know this, then you can hack your body and push yourself to take action. A powerful read - I highly recommend.
Stay encouraged!
