Give Yourself Permission to Evolve
Welcome back to the newsletter... on a Monday 👀, but we shamelessly move...
This year has come and (is almost) gone. It’s bittersweet, but I’m looking forward to what comes next.
Let’s talk about something that’s been on my mind a lot lately - the idea of giving yourself permission to evolve.
We’re all growing, shifting, and evolving, even if it doesn’t always feel like it. But sometimes we get stuck holding on to old versions of ourselves. We cling to old jobs, old relationships, or old habits—not because they still fit, but because we’re scared of what comes next.
I fought with this a lot when I transitioned into motherhood.
I wanted to look back for the “old” me - blind to the fact that there was no one to go back to. That person no longer exists, and I can never be the person who didn’t give birth to my babies.
She is not coming back—and the truth is… that’s okay. In fact, it’s healthy.
Growth isn’t about going back to who you were; it’s about stepping into who you’re meant to be now.
Think about it: sometimes the goals you set last year no longer fit the person you are today. Maybe the friendships or routines that once fueled you now feel like they’re holding you back. That’s not failure or selfishness—it’s awareness.
Recognizing the need to shift is a sign that you’re paying attention to your own journey and how we stay aligned with what truly matters.
If you catch yourself feeling guilty about leaving an old story behind, remember: you deserve to be true to yourself.
Outgrowing something or someone doesn’t erase their value in your life. It just means you’re ready to embrace the next chapter. Pivoting doesn’t have to be drastic or reckless—it’s about making small, intentional moves toward the life that feels right for you now. Life is too short to stay locked into something that no longer resonates.
So this week, I challenge you: where might you be clinging to an outdated story about who you are? What would it look like to step forward—lightening your load as you go?
You deserve to keep evolving, growing, and pivoting. Every step is an act of courage, and every change is worth honoring.
Keep evolving. Keep letting yourself be exactly who you need to be every single day.
Here are 3 tips on how to pivot:
1. Lean into the Fear
Being fearful is a sign that you are ready to explore change. Trust your gut and go for it. If it doesn’t work out you can always pivot again.
2. Trust Yourself
Doing anything new is already daunting and trying to please everyone is only going to hold you back. Stop caring about what the opinion of others and listen to the voice within.
3. Cut the Noise
It’s okay to take advice but be sure to decipher what’s helpful. Also, sometimes it isn't a fact of education but a lack of action. You know what to do - but are you doing it?

Weekly Reflection
The question I am asking myself this week ❓
What’s one decision I’ve been putting off that, if made today, would set me up for a stronger start to the new year?
This week's quote that made me think 💬
"You don’t have to see the whole staircase, just take the first step.” – Martin Luther King Jr.
Jenn's Monthly Book Club 📚
This is a new segment that I am adding to the newsletter. I have always loved reading and get so much knowledge from books.
This month, I am reading 5 Second Rule by Mel Robbins. We know a lot, but our biggest issue comes down to EXECUTION. Are you doing what you should be doing? Well this book breaks it all down in terms of how our brain is designed to prevent us from doing hard things. Once you know this, then you can hack your body and push yourself to take action. A powerful read - I highly recommend.
Stay encouraged!
